Abstract

The study was conducted on a sample of (18) players, a representing the Babylon Club football and co-applicants for team the clubs within Iraq for the first class for the year 2008-2009 .. .
The study aims to identify the relationship between attention and aspects of (the stability of attention - the distribution of attention – Shifting of attention - the intensity of attention – Concentration of attention) and the accuracy of the performance of some of the basic skills of soccer players ..
The researcher used the descriptive manner relations connectivity to the suitability and method of study. The study pointed out that there is a correlation positive correlation significant differences between the appearance of concentration of attention and accuracy of the performance of my skills (scoring and put down the ball) all on its own, as well as appeared there is a correlation positive correlation significant differences between the appearance of distribution of attention and skill of handling feedback, and also appeared correlation positive correlation between the appearance of shifting attention and my skills (suppression and handling feedback) and was also a correlation was found between the appearance of constant attention and put down the ball and also showed a correlation was found between the severity of attention and accuracy of the performance of my skills scoring and suppressions. There were no correlation between the remaining of the manifestations of attention under study and other basic skills football
Hence came the researcher a number of recommendations, including the need for attention and focus on training exercises that work on the development of mental abilities and physical and skill of soccer players, as well as the attention of trainers in the development of the manifestations of attention and in order of importance of performance skills to the football players during the training modules in a scientific manner with the use of means and utilities.
